In late 2019 the Australian Industry and Skills Committee established the Digital Transformation Expert Panel to consider how Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) system can most effectively respond to digital change underway across industry and its impact on the nation’s workforce.

From the Expert Panel’s recommendations, the Australian Industry Standards (AIS) was commissioned to develop a framework for an explicit and shared approach to building digital capability across the nation’s workforce. The Digital Capability for Workforce Skills Final Report details the development and potential application of this framework: the Australian Digital Capability Framework (ADCF).
