Job description
Material controllers are responsible for the inbound and outbound freight and consignments at the Energy LogistiX (ELX) Freight Distribution Centre.
Tasks include:
- processing incoming and outgoing freight
- assisting with loading, load restraint, unloading and reviewing freight
- providing accurate activity notes for shipping units
- coordinating the handling and documentation for dangerous goods
- maintaining the warehouse safety and compliance standards.
The employer is looking for people 18 years or older who:
- can demonstrate their core values of safety, loyalty, integrity, trust, teamwork and commitment
- are adaptable and flexible
- work well under pressure
- are willing and able to pass full medical screening including drug and alcohol testing.
People must be fit and healthy and able to:
- stand for 8 hours+ each day
- undertake manual tasks including chaining and throwing straps to secure loads
- work in an environment that is not temperature controlled (e.g. hot conditions while wearing a long sleeve shirt and long pants).

- TLID0015: Load and unload goods/cargo
- TLID0020: Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
- TLIF0009: Ensure the safety of transport activities (chain of responsibility)
