Workforce Australia Online Performance Measures​

Workforce Australia Online commenced on 4 July 2022. The Workforce Australia Online services Performance Measures aim to support transparency on the performance of this service.

Performance measures will be reported quarterly.

Diversification of Tasks​

Benchmark 45% Result 49.8%

  • Benchmark met.
  • This measure represents the proportion of finalised Point Based Activation System (PBAS) Point Periods where the participant completed at least one meaningful task other than job search
  • The result covers a rolling 12-month period from period 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.
  • This is a measure of the Diversification of Tasks participants undertake when they are in Workforce Australia Online, noting the service is aimed at those who are more job ready.

Participants in Work or Study after Exit​

Benchmark 80% Result 78.5%

  • Benchmark not met.
  • This measure represents the proportion of participants in work or study three months after exiting Workforce Australia Online service. It is a measure of positive outcomes.
  • The results for this measure cover the period April 2023 to March 2024.

Return to Service Rate

Benchmark 15% Result 14.8%

  • Benchmark met.
  • The measure represents Workforce Australia Online participants who exit Workforce Australia Online and then return to any employment service within 12 months of exit, as a percentage of those who exited services during this period.
  • This measure uses a 12-month rolling assessment period and requires additional 12 months to assess whether exited participants return to employment services. This is the first release of the measure, as the full 24 months of data was not available in the past. The result covers exits from Workforce Australia Online from 4 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 and returns to service within12-months, up to 30 June 2024.

Participant Satisfaction​

Benchmark 60% Result 62.9%

  • Benchmark met.
  • This measure represents the percentage of participants who were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of service from Workforce Australia Online.
  • The Workforce Australia Online performance measure for Participant Satisfaction was adjusted from 65% to 60% in July 2024. The original benchmark of 65% was set as a stretch goal when the measures were first developed. When the Participant Satisfaction measure was agreed for inclusion in the Corporate Plan, the benchmark was converted from a stretch goal to a program target, to align with the way benchmarks for the other performance measures in the department’s Corporate Plan are set.
  • This result combines data from surveys undertaken in October 2023, January 2024, April 2024 and July 2024.
