The Department uses skills assessment data to inform skills assessment policy and support Australia’s skilled migration system.

Assessing Authorities regularly report skills assessments data to the department in line with the Guidelines for Skilled Migration Assessing Authorities.

This data helps the department undertake assurance of the skills assessment sector, identify trends or areas of concern, and contributes to the evidence base for potential policy reform.
