It provided mentoring supports to participants to achieve national accreditations, enabling participants to obtain tickets in rigging and dogging. The objective of the activity was to place at least 28 participants into sustainable employment in the construction/mining industry.

The activity aimed to introduce participants to the plumbing or painting industry through a pre-employment program, which included theoretical and practical training, mentoring support for Aboriginal participants, and National Work Experience Program (NWEP) placements for each participant. It aimed to provide a pathway into the plumbing or painting industries, with participants able to enter a pre-apprenticeship or direct apprenticeship employment upon completion.

The one-day community event aimed to bridge the gap between positions available and the skill level of the labour market. This was achieved by connecting participants to local training organisations and other support and complementary community services. The activity sought to bring together key stakeholders to showcase the broad services and support available in the region.
