Legislation to improve Australia’s workplace relations system has received royal assent from the Governor-General.
The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Protecting Worker Entitlements) Act 2023 (the Act) received royal assent on Friday 30 June 2023.
The Act amends workplace relations laws relating to workplace determinations, protection for migrant workers, superannuation in the National Employment Standards, employee authorised deductions, unpaid parental leave, and the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave Funding) Scheme.
