The department has released the Request for Tender for Voluntary Pre-employment Service for parents with young children 2024-27, seeking responses from interested organisations to deliver services from 1 November 2024.

The department is seeking organisations who are connected to their local communities, reflect community diversity, including smaller and specialist organisations, and can engage with parents of young children to deliver the service across Australia.

The new Voluntary Parents Pre-employment Service aims to deliver an effective, efficient and culturally responsive pre-employment service for parents who are caring for children aged under 6 years.

The service will support parents by strengthening their capability and supporting them to build towards their education and employment goals, while respecting their needs and valuing their caring responsibilities. The service is designed to be flexible, tailored and holistic.

The department is committed to the priority reforms under the National Closing the Gap Agreement (Closing the Gap) and growing the level of service provision by First Nations organisations.

Interested organisations are encouraged to respond to the Request for Tender (RFT) by AEST 3 pm on 30 April 2024.

Further information about the RFT is available on the department’s Employment Services Tenders website.
