Congratulations to recent Engineering Essentials graduate, Taliah!
Taliah was a participant in the Workforce Specialist project, Engineering Essentials, which is delivered by panel member, Prestige Staffing Solutions.
The Engineering Essentials program will assist up to 100 participants over 10 tranches to prepare themselves for a career in the manufacturing industry, more specifically, entry level roles in assembly, dispatch and welding. The project is available to all Workforce Australia, Workforce Australia Online and Transition to Work participants, including all ages and cohorts.
Having previously worked as a hairdresser and at a local fast-food franchise, Taliah was wanting to get into more secure employment with consistent hours.
"I wasn't sure what to expect working in manufacturing but really appreciated the Trade Taste Tester day, mindshift workshop and fitness workshops" Taliah said.
Since graduating, Taliah has secured employment and is now saving to purchase a car.
If you are interested in applying for the Engineering Essentials program, you can do so by logging into your Workforce Australia account, searching for the Engineering Essentials program and completing the expression of interest.
