Consultation, feedback and evaluation

Parents, carers and stakeholders have been, major contributors to the design, implementation and ongoing improvements of Parent Pathways.

On this page:

Consultation and Design

The design of Parent Pathways was informed by extensive consultation with parents, carers and stakeholders. We listened to what parents want and need to achieve the goals they have for themselves and their families. A summary of what we heard from parents during the consultations is available.  These insights are reflected in what Parent Pathways offers.

Supporting ongoing feedback and continuous improvement

Continuing to listen to parents and stakeholders is a priority. Embedded in Parent Pathways are features to support:

  • direct feedback about the service from parents and carers
  • feedback from key stakeholders and providers
  • community organisations and providers to deliver a quality service.

Parent Pathways delivered by the Australian Government

Parent Pathways is also being delivered by the Australian Government, in the Playford, Gawler and the surrounding local government areas in South Australia. Australian Public Service staff directly supporting participants of Parent Pathways gives the department valuable insights into the needs of parents and carers, the impact of the service and provides a direct channel for feedback. This method of service delivery also helps to build Australian Public Service capability and leadership.

Parents Advisory Group

A Parents Advisory Group was established to ensure parents with lived experience, and key stakeholders, contributed to the design and ongoing improvement of Parent Pathways.
