The department is conducting a survey on access to transport.
The aim is to collect information about:
- Driver licenses
- Level of licence ownership
- Structural barriers to obtaining a driver licence
- Methods of travel
- Availability
- Frequency
- Distance and time of a commute/ travel to services
- Transport costs
- Assistance in meeting transport requirements
For participants
The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations will conduct research with people currently engaged with employment services.
You may be contacted to participate in an in-depth interview, or to complete a survey.
Your feedback will be used to better understand access to transport and potentially improve employment services.
By sharing your thoughts and experiences you can help us to better meet your needs and the needs of other job seekers in the future.
Research timing
The research will be conducted from October to December 2022. Participants will be asked to complete the survey by an email sent to the email address they provided to their employment service provider.

Your personal information, including your responses to any interview or survey questions and any additional information you provide, is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988.

Your rights
Participating in this research is voluntary, with no consequences if you choose not to participate. You may choose to stop participating at any time, and this will not impact any government assistance you may be receiving.
