- WV Technologies is a transitional Social Enterprise employer where Participants will be encouraged and supported to build skills, confidence and capacity to move into a permanent role.

Job description
Tasks involved – Woden Contractors:
- site clean ups
- offsider to tradespeople
- heavy labouring
- general site tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Tasks involved – WV Technologies:
- dismantling e-waste products by using various hand tools
- identifying various graded materials and organise appropriately
- using critical thinking to identify most efficient process to dismantle materials.
The employers are looking for people who:
- are from First Nations backgrounds and/or those with a connection to Alexander Maconochie Centre (including ex-offenders and their relatives)
- are interested in working in the civil construction or construction industry, or starting their career by working in the e-waste sector to transition into other roles
- can communicate clearly
- can understand and follow instructions and directions, including quality and safety procedures
- are willing to learn how to keep themselves and others safe at work
- can be proactive in the workplace
- are open to receiving feedback.
Prerequisites required:
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Driver’s licence/reliable transport to get to work sites.
- Adequate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills.
- Adequate physical abilities.

- Mentoring to support your success during the project and when you commence in employment.

- 10830NAT – Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention
- RIICCM207E – Spread and compact materials manually
- RIISAM203E – Use hand and power tools
- RIISAM204E – Operate small plant and equipment
After a period of employment:
- HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- RIIWHS202E – Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
