The activity will provide three Career Information Days and Field Trips across the Manufacturing, Mining and Community Care Sectors to support Indigenous participants in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven areas. The activity will have a commitment of job pledges that will be marketed across each career day.

The activity delivered 2 sets of 2 different bootcamps, 12 weeks in duration. IT Fundamentals and Amazon Web Services Cloud bootcamps focused on displaced workers to re-skill them for the technology industry. Digital Operations bootcamps supported Indigenous and youth participants with the digital skills required for the workplace with optional training in Microsoft credentials.

Through specialised training and coaching, the activity supports participants with qualifications primarily obtained from overseas to fill in-demand roles in areas such as IT, accounting, marketing, and engineering.

The activity will provide pre-employment training to participants in the Liverpool area to become Medium Rigid and/or Heavy Rigid vehicle drivers, with follow-up supports as they transition into employment. The targets long term unemployed, women seeking return to work opportunities, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) individuals and First Nations peoples.

The activity collaborates with targeted businesses to co-design skills-based workshops for participants and expose them to various tourism and hospitality opportunities in the region. The activity employs local government strategies to address staff shortages to increase visitor economy and find staffing solutions that meet local labour market needs.

This activity will provide pre-employment training to support young people (aged 15-24) who are facing disadvantage/homelessness. Participants will take part in 4 weeks of non-accredited workshops and 4-6 weeks of accredited hospitality training, with follow-up support as they transition into employment or further training.
