Transport & Mentoring Services – Pre employment Program Civil Construction

The activity provided transport and cultural liaison services to participants during their engagement with the civil construction pre-employment program. Participants were offered a Certificate III in Civil Construction over a 10-week pre-employment program gaining skills in communications, occupational health and safety, operation of plant equipment, measurements and calculations, manual handling, and undertaking interviews with prospective employers.

Post and pre-employment skilling program to support Indigenous participants in hospitality (utilities) with the aim to achieve sustainable long term employment for a minimum of 45 participants.
Women In Transport

This activity was delivered to upskill women in transport and logistics roles through an accredited pre-employment program, practical experience, and comprehensive mentoring support to ensure job readiness and confidence. Upon completion, participants graduated with HR, forklift and dangerous goods licences and demonstrated confidence to gain employment in the transport industry.

Support includes, job search skills, resume preparation, upskilling and reskilling, interview preparation and techniques, and facilitated access to industry and employer events.
