The Australian Government has announced that Top End Group Training was successful in the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services Request for Tender (RFT) for the Northern Territory (NT) 2024-26.

Top End Group Training Pty Ltd will provide targeted support to Australian Apprentices and their employers in the NT. The Focus is on improving commencements and completions for key groups, including:

  • Women in male-dominated trade apprenticeships
  • First Nations Australian Apprentices
  • Australian Apprentices with disability
  • Australian Apprentices located in remote areas.

There will be an increased focus on engagement with schools within the NT to promote Australian Apprenticeships and vocational education and training pathways. This will help build the next generation of skilled workers to meet the needs of Australian industry and employers.

Nine successful organisations from other states and territories across Australia were announced in April following a separate RFT process for Australian Apprenticeship Support Services 2024-26.

All organisations will start delivering Australian Apprenticeships Support Services from 1 July 2024.
