On 6 December 2024, the Australian Training Awards took centre stage at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, recognising the outstanding achievements of students, apprentices, teachers, training providers and businesses across the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
Delivered by the National Careers Institute, the Australian Training Awards are the peak national awards recognising our nation’s exceptional vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The Hon Andrew Giles MP, Minster for Skills and Training, hosted the event, commending the winners and finalists for their dedication and success in advancing VET. Minister Giles acknowledged their significant impact in shaping the future of the sector.
“The Australian Training Awards are about recognising the dedication and achievements of people in the VET sector and how VET plays a future-shifting role for so many individuals and the communities they live and work in.”
“Looking at the finalists this year, it is clear VET touches every corner of this country; with representatives from metro, regional and rural communities across all states and territories.”
“Congratulations to the winners, runners-up and finalists.” said the Hon Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training.
As part of their recognition, all winners, runners-up and finalists will be invited to join the exclusive Australian VET Alumni program. The network of VET graduates and industry leaders shares inspiring stories, helping others understand the valuable opportunities offered by VET.
