As an Employment Facilitator in Workforce Australia Local Jobs (Local Jobs), Angela brings together local businesses, employment service providers and training organisations. Local Jobs supports tailored approaches to accelerate reskilling, upskilling and employment pathways in response to current and emerging local workforce needs.

Employment Facilitators like Angela are on the ground in all 51 Employment Regions, supporting local businesses to find and train staff. 

“The South Coast of Victoria region is feeling the challenge of supply and demand across all industries. The Local Jobs team are working to strategically collaborate with industry, training organisations, support networks and providers to increase awareness of, and create mutually beneficial pathways, to support all parties,” Angela says.

Local Jobs is an Australian Government program where all 51 Employment Regions have:
•    an Employment Facilitator
•    a Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce
•    a Local Jobs Plan tailored to local labour market circumstances

Local Jobs provides access to funding for projects and activities that support local solutions to address barriers to employment, funded through a Local Recovery Fund or the National Priority Fund.
