The National Workers Memorial pays tribute to working Australians who have died as a result of work-related accidents, incidents and disease and recognises the vital contribution and achievement of Australian workers to the building of this nation.

The memorial also serves as a poignant reminder of the need for sustained and concerted effort to achieve work health and safety in Australia.
