The Government has released its response to the findings and recommendations in the final report of the independent review into the paid family and domestic violence leave entitlement.
The operation and impact of the entitlement on victim-survivors of family and domestic violence and employers, including small business, was reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team from Flinders University.
The final report was delivered to Government in August 2024 and was tabled in both Houses of Parliament on 9 October 2024.

The Government response outlines a blueprint for further action including:
- maintained focus on raising awareness, understanding and uptake of paid family and domestic violence leave
- better information and training for first responders on paid family and domestic violence leave
- A focus on priority cohorts including First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and casual employees.
