Tertiary Access Payment applications open
Are you relocating from a regional or remote part of Australia to study? You may be eligible for the Tertiary Access Payment of up to $5,000 to undertake tertiary education (Certificate IV and above).
First year tertiary students who have finished Year 12 (or equivalent) and are 22 or younger are eligible to apply now through Services Australia.
If you have finished Year 12 (or equivalent) and taken one or more gap years, then you may be eligible for the payment from 1 January 2025. You can apply from mid-June 2025 through Services Australia as the system needs to be updated.

Students undertaking a Diploma of Nursing course may be eligible for the new Commonwealth Prac Payment – Vocational Education and Training (CPP VET) from 1 July 2025. The payment will help manage costs associated with mandatory placement (also known as a practicum).
