Australian Digital Capability Framework

The Australian Digital Capability Framework describes the broad digital capabilities required by the workforce. The ADCF is a translation of the international framework DigComp 2.1 for the Australian context and follows the same structure.

From 2025, the Australian Government recognises the updated DigComp 2.2 as the preferred framework for guiding digital skills and training activities for citizens, learners and workers. Recognising DigComp is consistent with Australia’s adoption of the internationally recognised Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), which defines the skills and competencies required by digital professionals.

Additional information on digital capability frameworks can be found on Digital Capability Frameworks for the Australian Workforce.
