Workforce Australia Services Deed of Standing Offer 2022-2028 – Licence Review

On this page:

On 1 October 2024 the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations advised all Workforce Australia Services (WAS) Providers with Head Licences under the WAS Deed of Standing Offer that it would be conducting a Licence Review. On 11 October 2024, the department provided further details and sought information from Panel Members to support the Licence Review.

A Licence Review Committee, comprised of senior departmental staff, reviewed all WAS licences and made recommendations to the Delegate. The recommendations available for the Review Committee included the following, with the possibility for conditions to be attached to any licence extension:

  • a licence being extended to 30 June 2027;
  • a licence being extended to 30 June 2026; or
  • non-extension of a current licence (ceasing at 30 June 2025).

On 27 February 2025, Providers were advised of the outcome of the Licence Review for each of the licences they hold. High level outcomes have been updated in the FAQs and contract information is available on AusTender.
