About the role:

  • Employment is initially casual and will transition to permanent.
  • Minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week, up to 25 hours per week.
  • There is a short-term casual employment opportunity working at the Australian Open from 6 January 2025 through to 27 January 2025. You will be required to work up to 25 hours per week.
  • Initial pay rates (casual rates):
    • Kiosk attendants, swim instructor, guest experience officer from $30.13 per hour
    • Customer service event cleaner, $30.21 per hour
    • Retail and operations assistant from $31.23 per hour

The employers are looking for outgoing people aged 18 years or older who can demonstrate:

Prerequisites required:

  • Able to pass a national police check.
  • Able to pass a working with children check.

Project details

Duration: 3 weeks
Project locations: Sport for All (Thomastown, VIC)
Number of positions on project: 10
The project will start on Tuesday, 19 November 2024.

If you successfully complete the project and have consistently shown the values and attributes the employer is looking for you could start employment from Monday, 9 December 2024.

Project inclusions

  • Life and workplace skills training tailored to the role.
  • First Aid and CPR training.
  • A site tour including information sessions with employers with job shadowing/observation, giving you exposure to the site layout, staff, and tasks associated with the roles.
  • Extensive mentoring to support you before and during the project and for the first 2 months of employment.
