Initial changes will enhance flexibility to better help individuals, businesses and communities. Changes include:
- broadening eligibility for Local Recovery Fund projects to include more people
- supporting Local Jobs and Skills Taskforces in representing their community
- strengthening Australian Government delivery of Employment Facilitator services in three micro Employment Regions, and
- enhancing local and regional data and information to inform decision-making processes.
The Australian Government is also exploring options for the future design of the Local Jobs program.
