Personal information

Personal information held by the department is protected by law, including under the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act).

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identifiable individual. Personal information includes an individual’s name and contact details.

Collection of your personal information is for the purposes of sharing JSC Program updates and news with you, and for related purposes.

If you do not provide some or all of the personal information requested, we may not be able to provide JSC Program updates and news to you.

Do not submit another person's personal information without obtaining their consent and providing them with a copy of this privacy notice.

Personal information may be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to:

  • Swift Digital (the platform used to distribute the email newsletter, for the purposes of administering this subscription and any associated communications).

Your personal information may also be disclosed to other parties where you have agreed, or whether it is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.

Your personal information is unlikely to be disclosed to overseas recipients.
