As part of the department’s work reviewing the operation of the compliance system, the application of payment cancellations following a third financial penalty was examined. In July 2024, it appeared these payment cancellations may have been applied incorrectly. The Department immediately stopped the cancellation of these payments. Payment cancellations remain halted while further inquiries are underway.
Data for this report is produced at least one month after the end date of the reporting period to allow time for data to stabilise. This publication was produced as at 31 October 2024. Data produced as at different dates may show slight differences.
Please note that the duration of payment suspensions are reported in business days rather than calendar days. Previous publications of the TCF Public Data for Workforce Australia also reported these figures in business days. However, previous publications do not specify that they are business days in the data labels.
