Who can use the service?

Parent Pathways is available for parents and carers who:

  • don’t have a job
  • live near an organisation that delivers Parent Pathways.

Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who receive certain support payments from the Australian Government.

These support payments include the:

  • Parenting Payment
  • Carer Payment
  • Special Benefit.

Parent Pathways is also available for parents and carers who:

  • don't receive certain support payments from the Australian Government
  • are under 22 years old
  • left school before finishing Year 12
  • are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

What support is available?

Parent Pathways connects parents and carers with someone who can help them meet their goals.

This service can support parents and carers to:

  • get help with childcare
  • find community support
  • study or do training.

This service can also support parents and carers to:

  • pay for a uniform or tools
  • look for work when they are ready
  • pay for a computer to work or study.

The team at Parent Pathways will work with you to meet your support needs.

They understand that your role as a parent comes first.

You can choose to stop using this service at any time.

You can also choose to come back to this service at any time.
