On 22 February 2022 the former Department of Education, Skills and Employment (now the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations) (the department) released the Request for Proposal for the Workforce Specialists Initiative 2022–28 seeking responses from organisations and individuals interested in becoming members of the Workforce Australia – Workforce Specialists Panel.

As part of Workforce Australia, the Australian Government has established a panel of Workforce Specialists. Panel members will be engaged on an as-needed basis to deliver a range of strategic projects to meet the workforce needs of identified key industries and occupations, connecting them to suitable job seekers in Workforce Australia Services, Workforce Australia Online Services and Workforce Australia – Transition to Work.

Workforce Specialists will work collaboratively with industry and business, employment services providers, the department, and stakeholders to initiate, co-design and deliver Workforce Specialist Projects.

A list of organisations appointed to the Workforce Australia – Workforce Specialists Panel is available on the department’s Employment Services Tenders website.
