Strategic review of the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System
The Australian Government is undertaking the Strategic Review of the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System to ensure incentives are designed to provide the skilled workers Australia needs. The review will consider opportunities to increase the take-up and completion of apprenticeships and traineeships.
The review will consult broadly and invite stakeholders to provide submissions.
Australian Apprenticeship Support Services
The Australian Government has purchased a new model for Australian Apprenticeship Support Services. The model was designed following consultation to improve Australia’s apprenticeship system and will deliver a greater variety of organisations providing targeted support to Australian Apprentices and their employers.
Wraparound support will be provided to Australian Apprentices and their employers with a focus on:
- Woman undertaking an Australian Apprenticeship in a male-dominated trade
- First Nations Australian Apprentices
- Australian Apprentices with a Disability
- Australian Apprentices located in remote Australia.
