Our APS Employee Census 2023 results are in!

This content was published on Wednesday 29 November 2023. There may be more recent updates available.

Each year, our staff are invited to participate in the Australian Public Service (APS) Employee Census. The Census is an annual survey where staff can anonymously express their views and experiences working in their agency and the broader APS and provide attitudes and opinions on important workforce issues such as culture, capability, wellbeing and leadership. This 2023 Census took place from 8 May to 9 June 2023.

Our department achieved a strong participation rate of 80%. We are pleased with the positive results for an organisation established less than 12 months prior to the Census. Our people have told us they are motivated and committed to delivery, and energised by our aspirational culture of curiosity, openness and integrity.

Some of our fantastic results include:

  • 88% of our people responded positively about their workgroup cooperation to get work done.
  • 81% of our people are committed to our agency’s goals.
  • 81% of our people spoke positively about support for flexible work practices.
  • 80% of our people are satisfied with their non-monetary employment conditions.

More information on our results and the Census can be found on our APS Employee Census page.
