The Local Recovery Fund is available in 51 Employment Regions (regions).

The Local Recovery Fund supports locally driven activities that:

  • meet priorities identified in the region’s Local Jobs Plan
  • are tailored to the opportunities and needs identified in the region
  • address employment and training priorities; and
  • skill individuals to meet local employer demand.

Local Recovery Fund activities are usually sought via a Request for Proposal procurement process. If you are interested in developing a Local Recovery Fund proposal, contact your local Employment Facilitator.

A pre-employment and training program utilising the flood recovery tasks to provide skills and experience to participants. This practical work-like experience in an inclusive/supportive environment affords participants the opportunity to increase work readiness to apply for relevant jobs with access to blend of activities. The blend of activities include Accredited/Non-accredited training, personal training, mentoring supports and practical assistance including meals, transport and PPE.

Riverland Flood Recovery - Building the Regional Workforce

"GoHospo" - Hospitality Skills Training for Beginners

An pre-employment program that delivered face to face accredited and hospitality training in a simulated work environment activity to 90 participants. The activity was delivered to support young people, Indigenous participants and participants from disadvantaged backgrounds.
